Squidoo Experiment – Week 2
I have been doing my Squidoo experiment for 2 weeks now. I am starting to see some rewards for my efforts and I am excited to see what week 3 brings me. Let’s take a look at all the stats:
Lenses at the End of Week 1 – 22 Lenses at the End of Week 2 – 44
It seems as though I am averaging 22 new lenses each week. If I keep that up, I should be over 60 at the end of week 3. I wont be able to do as much on the 3rd and 4th of July because we are getting together with family for the independence day holiday, but I have a goal to hit 60 lenses this coming week.
Earnings During Week 1 – $0.00 Earnings During Week 2 – $12.26
The $12.26 came from one affiliate sale through Amazon. I sold an item that cost $188. Now, I just need to get my lenses to the point I am making a 3-4 sales like that a day and I’ll reach my $1,000 a month goal!
Visitors During Week 1 – ZERO Visitors During Week 2 – 60

I am only counting organic search engine visitors, not referrals from within Squidoo itself.
Overall, I am really enjoying the experiment. Squidoo lenses are a lot of fun to make. Some days I was only able to make 2 of them, but yesterday I had a lot of free time and was able to create 6!
Progress Overview

Can you share more on how you are selecting phrases? How much Squidoo competition is too much?
Yes, please do! I have so many good ideas for my websites and squidoo lenses but have no idea how to tell if they are good for money making…and yes, I’ve taken the Niche blogging course and still need help!
I am selecting phrases the same way I do on The Niche Blogger. As far as Squidoo competition goes… I am still experimenting with that.
Do you use your own affiliate links for Amazon rather than participate in Squidoo’s Amazon share program?
@ Michele – Yes I use my own links. 7% from my own account is better than 4% through Squidoo.
