Use Infobarrel to Make Money and Gain Backlinks
I LOVE when I can actually make more money from my article marketing efforts. I already told you about eHow and HubPages and how I planned to use them in my article marketing strategies.
Well, i’ve been doing a lot of research lately and found that infobarrel is actually kicking butt both for producing income and for getting strong do-follow backlinks back to my blogs!
I started using them right at the beginning of September and am already starting to see some Adsense earnings coming in. I will do a FULL report on the 1st of October with the earnings from all these sites so far.
Some people write for HubPages, eHow and Infobarrel without having a blog of their own (their own online property) to link back to. While they will make some money anyway, they are only using these sites at 50% of their potential.
Why not use these as income producing launch pads for your own blogs that you actually keep 100% of the revenue from? It will work out much better in the long run.
I actually haven’t been writing for eHow as much as I used to. I’ve heard rumors the site is in financial trouble and I know they do clean sweeps and delete articles on a regular basis.
I would rather stick more to HubPages where at worst one of my hubs would get flagged and need revision (as opposed to being deleted randomly).
I also like that InfoBarrel will approve your articles before they go live (sort of how EzineArticles does it) so you know it is good enough to stay on there.
Quit giving all your marketing articles to EzineArticles where THEY keep all the revenue. Start diversifying and getting backlinks from HubPages and Infobarrel and get paid to do so!
HubPages will show your ads 60% of the time and Infobarrel will show your ads 75% of the time. I gotta tell you, my articles on these sites get a decent amount of traffic and actually rank quite well.
Progress Overview

I, too am trying to write more articles. You are right people should look into more article directories that pay.
Amy
I also use hubpages and infobarrel, but recently have been using triond, where they have a $0.50 cashout to your paypal account. I have been getting quite alot of visits from the search engines to my triond articles.
Sounds good having written 2125 articles on Associated Content and only making $100/month in page views bonus, infobarrel sounds like a refreshing change!
Amy, i’m going to give this a shot. I have not used infobarrel but if I can get a backlink and some revenue. I’m all for it.
Sounds great!
Question about Infobarrel backlinks … are you allowed to have links to your niche site or an affiliate link within your articles? Or are the backlinks from your user profile?
If it’s from profile, do you list a bunch of your sites or do you sign up under different aliases?
Also, do you still Squidoo?
Thanks!
Zijo – I put links to my niche blogs right into my articles. I do it all under one profile. I don’t use Squidoo as much as I used to.
Just so you guys know, Info Barrel takes exclusive rights which means that once you publish an article there you can never publish it anywhere else. Big price to pay for such a small payment.
Katherine – That is partially true, they want to be the exclusive site that has the content on it, but you still own it. If you really want to use it elsewhere you can remove it off infobarrel and put it somewhere else. So far I have been very impressed with the income results I have gotten from them.
I’ve never heard of infobarrel but it sounds interesting. I’ll have to check that out. In the past I have just submitted articles to EzineArticles and a few others. Thanks for the tip!
Amy that’s a good point and thanks for clarifying. However a lot of people like to double post and you can’t do that, right? I hadn’t realized that you can repost it as long as you take it off infobarrel. That sounds exhausting. So you’re saying it IS worth it despite that?
Katherine –
You cannot double post, but I never do that anyway because it dilutes my efforts. I AM saying it IS worth it.
Hey guys,
I haven’t really been popping by too many blogs lately because we’ve been swamped over here at Infobarrel, but I wanted to stop by and thank you for the positive review of our site.
We are working on some big things that we will be hopefully introducing in the next few weeks.
If you have any questions Amy, feel free to email me on my email address attached to this post or send an email through the contact form; they will both wind up in my inbox at some point!
Anyways, i look forward to reading your update!

Thanks for the tip Amy. I had never heard of Infobarrel. I’m also glad to see you posting to this blog more again.
Amy,
I just came across your blog a few days ago and you have inspired me to do something about my giant debt. While mine isn’t quite as large as yours was, it is still pretty substantial.
I’ve put up my own web site to track my progress as I try to knock off my 35,000 in bad debt! I just wanted to let you know that you are my inspiration and hopefully my blog will keep me accountable.
I will be writing a few articles a day in conjunction with my girlfriend in an attempt to earn an additional $1000 a month in passive income through Infobarrel!
Thanks again!
I have been writing for infobarrel, it shows I have over 3000 views but when I go to my adsence account I only have a little over 100 I cant understand and they will NOT return an email from me.Any suggestions?
Lynn – The number of views shown on Infobarrel are raw data and not actual visitors. It includes visits from crawl bots as well. So the numbers get greatly skewed.

I never heard of Infobarrel before and thank you for the great post on them. I need to get rid of my debt and looking for ways to make money to do so. Your blog is a helpful source as it shows people that you can do it with determination.
Thanks for the advice, and that’s a really good point about developing your own online property. I like your take on sustainable business ideas.
Well, this is one resource that I’ll definitely need to look into. I’m registered at HubPages but have yet to submit anything because I’d rather submit at eZine for an instant backlink than wait to build up to a certain level on Hubpages — even though the payout is two-fold with Hubpages.
