I published my first Hub at HubPages on July 6, 2009 so almost two months ago. Since then I have built my HubPage account up to 76 completed hubs. I’ve almost hit the 100 hubs mark!
I also started writing for eHow on August 1, 2009 so just this past month. I completed 71 eHow articles before the month was over.
So how have my earnings been for August 2009 on these two sites? Let’s see…
eHow August Income
Articles Written: 71
Article Views: 2,814
Earnings in August $12.57
eHow is different in the fact that only writers in the United States are allowed to join their writers compensation program and get paid for their articles.
Sadly, this makes the great opportunity unavailable to the majority of the world.
The good news is that anyone can join
HubPages and make a residual income off their articles. (I don’t recommend having these replace your niche blogs, just compliment them.)
With
HubPages, instead of them paying you directly you put your Adsense publisher ID, your Amazon Associates ID, your eBay Partner Network ID and your
Kontera ID in and it automatically places your links in to the Hubs 60% of the time.
HubPages Amazon -$2.19
HubPages eBay – $7.41
HubPages Kontera -$0 (I only added this during the past week).
HubPages August Total – $27.28
This is not a ton of extra money, but it is nice to build up some extra income streams and at least get PAID for my article marketing efforts.
Wow that is great. Every little bit helps. I looked at ehow and was not even sure how to begin doing that.lol. But I know about hubpages and how to do that.
I’m just getting started with eHow, but I am inspired by your report on the residuals you are getting with eHow and Hubpages. I may try my hand at Hubpages soon.
I can’t imagine being able to write that many articles and hub pages in one month. You’re amazing! Do you post your articles on ezine articles too or just exclusively on hub and ehow?
Heidi – I put unique articles on each site and not anywhere else so the ehow articles are not the same as the hubpages ones either.
Amy don’t take this the wrong way, I think it is great how you achieved your goals so quickly.
BUT, with the 5 or 6 monthly figures you make niche blogging (or more now) how on earth do you stay motivated to write for pennies on eHow and Hubpages?
Jim – I have to do article marketing anyway to promote my niche blogs. I used to mainly rely on ezinearticles, but they don’t pay anything at all! So I figured, why not make money on my marketing articles too?
I see your point.
Are you spinning articles?
I also sent you an email a few weeks ago regarding your WSO that you did 2 years ago on Cash Crate. Not sure if you received it. I purchased that report almost 2 years ago but my computer crashed and I lost everything. I would like to get a copy of it again. I sent the transaction ID to you on August 13th. Can you send it again?
Theresa – No I am not spinning any of the articles. Yes send me an email again just in case.
I should be creating my first Hub at HubPages after this
Diversifying your passive income streams as you are doing is great. It’s amazing to see how things start to add up over time. I just set my daily goal and fire away.
Are you still writing for Associated Content?
Yes I am still writing for AC to get backlinks there as well.
Amy, international users can still make some moeny with ehow. They just don’t get the per article payment. We can get the money based on the impressions though
Well done! These are some very good figures. Just to warn you that the majority of people who use the Hubpages forums have taken Kontera off for many reasons but basically it wasn’t worth having them on there. You may find it is, but just a bit of friendly advice
.
[...] when I can actually make more money from my article marketing efforts. I already told you about eHow and HubPages and how I planned to use them in my article marketing [...]
Nicely done! After reading this I think I will give Hubpages a try!.
