I would be very very cautious to invest very much time, and effort, into the eHow platform. Rather than leave you a very long comment about WHY….here is what famous eHow writer, Witergig (author of an eHow eBook and one of the leading contributors/earners there) had to say in one of my articles:

That’s funny. I have 46 articles and have made less than $10 per month for 4 months. That’s usually how things go for me though….

I write for ehow. You earn more than $1 per month per article. I have earn more than $50 since I started 3 months ago and I have only 7 articles.

I write for both eHow and Hubpages and I think you’ll see a higher return on your efforts at eHow. And, you’re right, the resource links are great for links to your sites or even for affiliate marketing. Good luck. I look forward to your reports.

This sounds like a good idea. My only problem is that eHow don’t pay people outside the US So I’ll carry on with Hubpages. Glad you’ve seen your earnings improving!
