My Debt Free Goal Recap

I started this blog in May 2007, so a little over two years ago. I was pregnant at the time and very worried about our financial situation. The $72,900 of debt that was sitting on our shoulders was taking a huge toll on my physical and emotional health.

An idea came to my mind one night, to start a blog and document my progress in paying off my debt. I was determined to pay off my debt in any legal way possible. Thankfully I quickly found blogging and that has completely saved us financially.

The road I took was not an easy one, nor was it a short one. I went through a lot of mistakes and pitfalls along the way. I lost some money here and there too.

Knowing what I know now there are some things I would have done differently… but overall this has been a fantastic learning experience for me and those who have followed along with me on my blog here.

I wanted to thank all my readers for sticking with me, even when I thought there was no hope. I made it and am so happy to say that you can too. Don’t let anyone tell you it is impossible. You will be debt free if you put your mind to it.

    Hi Amy,

I followed you from almost your first post and was so thrilled when you became debt free in January! Your dedication, courage and hard work were incredibly inspirational!

I have a favor to ask. Would you please post here once or twice a month and let us know how you are doing? It was almost like losing a member of the family when you stopped posting after reaching your goal. A lot of people care about you, your family and your story and would like to continue to use your posts as inspiration to keep moving ahead in a positive manner in whatever situation(s) we find ourselves in.

    Thank you and God bless!

Way to go Amy. I am so proud of you. I know your Mom is really proud of you too. Congrats on baby #5. You really do have beautiful children. You need another redhead though. Samantha is the most adorable redhead little girl I have ever seen. It was fun to see her last month. I wish we could see the rest of you some time. Love ya!
