Changes to Google Adsense TOS

Visit www.TheNicheBlogger.com

Google Adsense stated that all websites with adsense on them have to have a privacy policy. So I have spent the past few days going through every page of every single one of my websites adding a privacy policy to them. I still have so many more sites to go through.

That is one of the downsides of having so many websites, when changes have to be made, it takes forever.

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about that and to make sure you add a privacy policy to all your sites.

I found a nifty free tool on here that I have been using as my template -

Hope that helps.

:) Amy

Oh good grief! I am so NOT computer savvy, so this stuff always make me nervous. I am always afraid of messing up what I already have! Thanks for the reminder about this though.

    Hey Amy,

Are you adding the privacey policy to the bottom of the list of articles or else where what have you found easiest for your niche sites.

I add a link to my privacy policy at the bottom of each page where the copyright information is.

Amy, I will be moving my blog to a wordpress site soon, but right now it’s on blogger. Since Google owns both will they be taking care of that?

Google does not own wordpress. Also, you want to move to wordpress.org on your own Hosting Account and not Wordpress.com

Amy, thanks for the heads up. I had not heard of this requirement until I read it here!

No, I meant they own both blogger and adsense, not blogger and wordpress. So my question was, since they own blogger will they be handling privacy statements for a blogspot blog, which is where my blog is for the time being.

When I move my blog to a wordpress blog I will take care of it, but it will be a month or so.

    Thanks

I made a Privacy Policy Plugin for Wordpress based on the free site that you provided. The plugin is free, just download it from my link.

    Hey Amy,

Just wondering when it asks if the site uses cookies do these niche sites use them? I assume no but dont fully understand how that works.

  12. admin on April 2nd, 2008

My niche sites don’t use them. I would assume most niche sites don’t.
