About Earnings Updates

Sorry I got behind on my earnings updates. I will work on getting some up to share with everyone. I didn’t realize that people enjoyed them that much.

I have been trying to not focus on earnings as much. I have a health issue that has been preoccuping my mind this month and has taken precendence over my debt situation.

I am working hard to get healthy so I can see my kids grow up and spend more time doing what is important.

Once I reach my six figure mark I don’t plan to go any further in business. That will be more than enough for my needs and desires. I do not want to be a millionaire. Life it too short to spend it chasing money all the time.

The only reason I am even going for $8,300 a month is because I want to get a home that is large enough for our family (my husband and I plus 4 kids), my mother and two of my brothers. That will be 9 of us in a household. My mother has fallen on hard times and is losing her home so we plan to take her in.

So the extra living costs are going to add up, but we can do it. I have been very blessed in my life.

I have a loving family, I have my faith and I have been blessed to build an income that can help support not only my own immediate family, but others as well.

I am saying all this because I do not want to be seen as an internet marketing guru, or any guru or expert for that matter.

I will never be a millionaire because I don’t want to be.

Amy, you have the wrong attitude. With your talent, I’d be a billionnare by now and lovin’ it.

Hi there Amy-I just want to let you know that I am praying for you. You are an amazing woman and I hope that the Lord will continue to bless you and your family. Keep having faith and know that the Lord will NEVER give you more than you can handle! I am inspired by you. I wanted to share a website that I have been very touched by. They send out a free magazine that I love. It is nogreaterjoy.org. They are an amazing family that truly shows what can come of being a Christ-centered family. Thank you again for your good words and you truly are in my prayers whatever the situation is!

Amy why did you delete my post?

Sorry to hear about your health issue - I hope and pray that all resolves soon, and you can continue to be an inspiration to so many out here in the blogosphere! Take care of yourself, and your family. Looking forward to that monthly earnings report to see how much damage you can do to that debt total!

Some people may not understand this post. I think that I do. I have been reading you for months and enjoy every minute. It is interesting to see your earnings, in my opinion, because it let’s the rest of us struggling to find our way in this business know that it is possible to succeed. Thank you and may God bless you.

Oh my! I am so sorry! You have had a run of bad luck….I am glad you choose to focus on the positive, your family and your faith. It will get you through. Prayers being sent your way!

Jack, don’t worry I didn’t delete your message. It just took me longer to approve them because they showed up in the spam area. :)

To answer to your comment, I do not think being a billionare would make me happy. I would be happier to have good health and a close family than to have more money.

Jenn, Frugal Dad, Irbee and Dasy - Thank you so much for the moral support. It is very much needed. :)

You are right Amy that you can’t get to be a millionaire unless you want it. But you do have clear goals and your monthly earnings and debt update let us see how you are doing as we root for you.

I think your following and the interest in your earnings are largely because you feel like one-of-us, a non-guru, fairly new to internet marketing, trying to earn some financial freedom for your family. I think there is a big feeling of “If Amy can do it, then I can too!”

Sorry to hear about the medical issues. We’ll be rooting for you there as well. Take care.

    Amy-
I hear you on the money thing! The more I work to try and earn more money, the more I realize that HATE money. I also came to the realization that life is too short to be so focused on money all the time. I just want to be able to pay my bills, provide for my family, and have a decent savings so I can focus on the better things in life. Being a millionaire would help me not have to worry about money, but I agree it won’t “better my life” Money can’t buy health and happiness!

I have been really concentrating on striving for a “purpose driven life” rather than one rich in money. I totally see where you are coming from- especially when medical issues pop up, you start to realize what truly matters!

I will keep you in my prayers!! I have faith you will be able to provide what you need to for your family. I think you are a great inspiration because you are not money hungry and all about the dollar. You are an honest, hard working mom striving for the best for her family.
what better a person for us readers to follow???

I love reading your posts Amy. I think with all the other things you have going on those of us who enjoy your earnings and debt reduction updates just hope you don’t lose sight of your initial goal. I’m sorry to hear you have been sick. I know you will reach that $8300/mo goal and eliminate your debt quickly while building your business. I know it’s not easy, but you are doing it, and along the way inspiring many others.
    Bless~MM

    Hello Amy,

There is a part of all of us who cheers for the little guy/girl. When I first saw the website, I bookmarked it because I found it interesting. I also made a mental note of your goal and timeframe. You gave us a goal and a specific time to achieve that goal. For this reason, people like me come and check in every now and then to see how you are doing. It is encouraging to see someone making money online starting from scratch. It also makes the possibility of doing it yourself a reality. That is why people love the updates, not so they can see how much money you can make. Best Regards, and I know you will overcome your current trials.

I think your blog is great! And I admire your determination, never say “give up” spirit. It gives people who are deep in debt hope and they can learn from you from your experience.

Keep up the great work you have done.

Is it my imagination or did your debt number just go down? Yay, for you! You have really paid off quite a bit!

  17. admin on March 20th, 2008

Yep it went down. I have been paying practically everything I make after business expenses on it. :)

Well, whatever makes you happy Amy, I wish you good luck. Personally, I’m gonna go for the million (though I am a long way off). I made a bet with a good friend from high school on which of us would make a million first. We each bet a dollar on it and I want to win that dollar! lol

  19. Donna (mom24boyz) on March 25th, 2008

Hi Amy, I don’t check your blog a lot, but I was happy to hop over hear and see that you have paid a huge chunk down on your debt! Yipee for you and your tribe! Keep up the good work! God Bless!

  20. Ginene on March 29th, 2008

Amy I wish you the best. Your attitude is a positive one and even though you don’t want to be a millionaire, I can see it happening. I pray that everything works out for you.

Amy, your words about seeing your kids grow up alludes to a more serious health situation. We’re praying for you and your family. I agree with keeping the balance between family and earning money. I’ve been through a serious illness and nothing, no amount of money, will give you the chance to see your children grow up and the chance to grow old. Non-monetary issues are usually the ones that are the most important and money takes the trunk of the car, not even the back seat.

I think you’ll end up a millionaire even if you don’t try. Once you’re making over $8000/mo, have a paid-for house and no debts, you can’t help but get rich unless you spend every penny you make after that. If you save $5000/mo for 10 years, you’ll have more than $1 million if it’s invested at about 12%. If you saved $3000/mo it would only take you 12.5 years to become a millionaire. Keep in mind that $1 million really isn’t that much money anymore.

Most millionaires aren’t flashy. I know and worked with several. They’re people next door who drive a 10 year old car and only go out to eat a few times a month. They got rich over the course of their lives because they stayed out of debt and didn’t overspend. They couldn’t help but get rich.

    Love and prayers,
    Sherri
