So Many Different Ways to Make Money
It is now the 8th of December. I have built 3 websites so far this month and am starting # 4 today. If I keep going at the pace of a new website every 2 days I should be able to get 15 done this month.
I have been working a lot of hours this month and have fallen behind in my blog posting. I will make it a point to post more often.
I picked up a few domain names that I think would do really well as a niche article directory. A niche article directory is like any other article directory except it focuses on one broad niche, such as only pet articles or only health articles. I have read up on them quite a bit and found that they can actually do better than regular article directories.
I am not sure if I should make the niche article directories now or if I should just focus on making the niche websites until the 6 figures in 6 months challenge is up. I don’t want to branch out into too many different things and lose my focus.
It is just amazing all the different paths that can be taken to make a living online.
You could go with niche websites (my focus for 6 months). Then you have the option of keeping the websites and collecting a small monthly income or flipping them for fast cash.
You could focus on being a freelance writer or writing ebooks. You can do this for yourself or for others.
You could make article directories (something I would really love to get into).
You could offer services to people. I know of one guy who makes a good living by submitting people’s websites to SocialMarker.com for them. Basically adding their website domains to the different social bookmarking sites.
The possibilities are pretty much endless.

Progress Overview

I am very glad to hear that niche sites are working well for you! But I see that you are using article marketing as the main way to send traffic. Are you seeing traffic kinda slow down from article directories after the initial submission? That seems to be the case with this case study:

How are your niche sites doing with search engine rankings?
Hi Amy
Do you find that submitting to webdirectories are a waste of time and money(if you outsource).
Thanks David
Web directory links are not worth as much as they used to be. I didn’t see any difference so I don’t bother with those.
Hi Amy, good to hear things are going well.
How do you drive traffic to your niche websites? Normally this takes quite some time to do.
cheers

Hi Amy,
What are building the websites with, NVU, Dreamweaver? Any html editor program you can recommend? Thanks
Jen, I am using NVU.
Hi!
Niche article directories might be a good way to go, and could compliment your current and future niche websites in a couple of ways…
You could add a directory to each of your niche websites, featuring articles with the same theme as the site itself. That’d ‘flesh out’ your sites with new and related content to compliment the rest of your domain.
Or you could create separate niche article directory sites and LINK them to the related niche website you have hosted elsewhere… either from separately hosted article sites or perhaps one site with subdomains for each themed article directory.
i.e. health.articles-site.com, hamsters.articles-site, etc.
Regardless, if you decide to create niche article directories - please send me a note to include your site(s) on my own directories resource page (I made my name/website a link in tis comment).
I promote the fact niche article directories are VERY good for both traffic and Google PR, whenever I mention that resource on the forums, so it could send you a decent number of targeted visitors.
And in regards to your ‘two year’ money making goal, also check out the new PPP system that comes into effect in just a couple months. It’s a new advertising method (think AdSense) that pays website owners for literally every visitor to their sites. I mention it near the top of my resource page where it says “Free”.
If your sites get decent traffic, I think the PPP system could compliment your existing profit sources.
Just FYI and hope it helps!

Hi Amy,
I know you have many niche sites now.(about 100 if I’m not mistaken)
I saw Jonathan’s question above and I was wondering also:
“Are you seeing traffic kinda slow down from article directories after the initial submissions?”
Thanks,
