What Would You Do?
NOTICE: I decided I cannot part with my blog or my readers. It isn’t right. You get to keep boring old me permanently. *Wink*
I am working with a very very tough decision right now. Getting out of debt is very important to me and it is really starting to weigh heavy on my shoulders.
I was thinking about selling ownership to my blog, but I would still remain the main writer for it. I listed it up for sale to see if I could get enough to pay the majority of my debt off.
I does have a reserve on it to where if it does not go up over a certain price, I do not have to sell it. Of course this blog means the world to me and I won’t let it go for peanuts.
I care about all of you and am interested in your opinions. Would you sell your blog or website to help your family to become debt free if you were in my situation?
Even though keeping ownership of my domain and my blog would be great, I am willing to sacrifice for my family. Just like if I owned a home I would also sell it to get out of this financial situation (not an option, I rent).
This is not set in stone. The bid has not gone over the reserve price and I can still cancel my auction if someone helps me see an alternative. I need your advice and blessing on what YOU would do in the same situation. This is very hard on me.

Progress Overview

Amy, of course you don’t want to see the site go. None of us readers want that either. But, you’re still focused on your goal. Of being debt free. Sell the blog if it will pay off a significant amount of debt. If you can’t sell it for enough, then just move on to another project. Keep it up. You’ll be debt free in no time.
Thanks Ethan. Even if it does end up selling my readers will still be able to contact me any time. I actually have a cool project in the works you may like.
Or maybe someone who has a lot of money and does not relate to any of your readers will get it. I have to admit I was very upset seeing this blog up for sale. I guess you have to do what you think is best but in the long run you will probably make more money with this blog than with selling it quick.

Go with your inner voice/instinct and that’s basically your guide. It does’nt matter how much this or that and you don’t want to be in paralysis by analysis mode.
Let the peace of God rule your heart and you will know that is the right decision for now. In time HE will provide for you as long as you continue to practice tithing and offer.
