Current Status Update
Sorry I haven’t been posting on my blog as much. I have been working 24/7 on my 6 figures in 6 months challenge.
Each website costs me about $100 and about 10 hours of work time. I am trying to build them up as much as possible within my current financial and time limitations.
The good news is that these websites are bigger and better than websites I used to build in the past, so hopefully they will be able to bring in more money than my older ones. Like I said, Quality over Quantity.
I am putting 15-20 original articles on each website with each article targeting a different keyword on the subject.
I first try and find any related advertisers on commission junction to promote. If there is nothing there then turn to clickbank and shareasale.
I just stick with one adsense block per page because I don’t want to depend on adsense as my main income source. Of course, there are some niches that cannot be monitized with anything else (no other affiliate programs for it).
I am currently working with 5 different writers to help me get all my work accomplished. The reason I have 5 is because they all work part-time. Eventually I hope to get one or two full-time writers, but this works for now.
This is a business just like any other, I am just thankful that I am able to build it in cash without adding any debt. (No business loans for me).
Oh on a side note: I am currently in the lead for the 6 figures in 6 months challenge! (The winner is the person who has built the most websites during the 6 months).
Well, I am off to work on my next project… Keep going… It WILL be worth it.

Progress Overview

Of course you’re in the lead. You are Amy Bass after all. I’m glad to hear that you’re winning. And I wish you the best of luck. And I don’t think I’m just speaking for myself here.
How are you coming up with ideas for your niches? Or is that classified??
Good luck to you!
Hi Amy, I used to look forward to reading your blog but it seems lately you are just focused on your challenge and that doesn’t help most of us. $100.00 on a website is great if you have it but most of us don’t. I almost feel as if you have gotten too big that you can’t relate to us small people anymore. I miss your tips and hints that can help us regular people trying to make money online. That challenge seems great for you but lets face it, the majority of us can never do that. I wish you the best of luck with your challenge but hope we can still have some inspiration from the “old” Amy.
The actual winner will be the person who makes the most money in 6 months, not someone who creates most websites… remember that Amy…
Sarah, I am sorry you feel that way. This blog was never meant to be anything big. It is mainly an online journal for me working my way out of debt.
Jason, I totally agree with you. I was talking about the actual contest itself that is being held.
I should not however, that you don’t need to spend 100 dollars to make a website if you write your own articles.
Amy,
Is the entire $100.00 being spent on writing? can you give us a break down? Also, how are you marketing each site and how long do you spend on marketing a site before you move on to the next one?
Good luck!
Thanks,
Debby
Cost per website
- $5.99 - $7.25 per domain (depending on extension - I use Dynadot)
- Articles for Website Content $70-80
- Promotional Articles $6 (I get two articles to start with for article marketing )
- $6 for Article spinning for two articles. I have a wonderful writer who spins articles for me at $3 each.
That’s it. If you do all the writing yourself your only cost is the domain name.

Hi,
Sorry to contact you this way… I couldn’t find a contact form on your site.
I have recently taken over the blog http://ryanshamus.com and have
been busy networking with other bloggers and posting various content
in the last month.
The reason for my email is two fold. Firstly to say hi, My name is
Gavin and I make my living through my other websites and blogs. Ryan
Shamus is a blog for me to help other people learn about marketing and
making money online. I’m also reviewing various products and
documenting my successes or faliures on the blog, which I feel will
help others avoid making the same mistakes as me.
The second reason for the contact is that I have just finished writing
an article about how to make money on clickbank and selling ebooks.
The article has taken me about 15 hours to write and I wanted to ask
your advice on how best to get this article in front of as many people
as possible so they can learn from my experiences and success with
Clickbank.

If you feel it may be of use to your readers or if you like the
article and are able to write a small review or post about it, I would
be very grateful. I will of course return the favour in the future.
If you dont like the article or do not want to make a post back to it,
then no worries. Thanks for taking the time to read this anyway and
any advice is welcome.
Good to meet you.
Many Thanks
Gavin
Thanks Amy! I appreciate your prompt reply.
Do you think using PLR articles would work against you?
Rewrite PLR by 50% or more and you are good. You can check the uniqueness at

Thanks, I bookmarked the site.
Will you let us see one of your sites when you are done?
I know, I am pushing it, right?!

I know that I personally would love to see just ONE of her websites, just to really get a feel of what is being created. Talking about it is one thing, but getting to actually take a tour would be fantastic!
