Am I Just Spinning My Wheels?
I was looking at the ending result of income for the month of November. Wow, only an increase of $18.84 of the entire month?!
Then I started looking at my stats. My income has certainly not been static. The main culprit has been the Get Paid To programs that I have not maintained or nurtured in any way since May. That income has been dropping every month and I really see it petering out by January unless I start recruiting again.
The really great news is that despite my total income looking pretty much the same as last month I have actually made $294.72 more this month from my niche websites than I did last month!
In fact, just looking at the stats from my niche websites only (excluding WSOs and other things that weren’t related to my niche websites) this is how my income has changed each month since I started
June Internet Marketing Income - $261.64
July Internet Marketing Income - $731.03
August Internet Marketing Income - $1,107.11
September Internet Marketing Income - $1,358.21
October Internet Marketing Income - $1,473.83
November Internet Marketing Income - $1,768.55
So I HAVE been progressing every single month! In fact, my trend is really starting to look more and more like my original $10 per day per month plan.

Progress Overview

Amy,
I’m really happy for you that your internet marketing income has increased so much this past year.
My only concern is how much you are paying for the websites in the 6 figure challenge. From what I’ve read you’ve made 14 so far at $100 a pop. That makes your actual income this past month much smaller.
I meant to ask you this earlier. Of the $100 that you spend on average per website for the challenge, does any of that go to the creator of the challenge?
None of the money goes to the creator of the challenge. They money is to buy the domain name and outsource articles. Of course, the more articles I write myself the less money I will need to spend. It is true though that the majority of my profits will be going back into the business. That is why I hope over the next six months the growth will be much more than $300 a month. We wont really know for sure until I can watch the trends from now through May.
You talk about your niche websites and got me curious about them. Are you going to tell us what any of them are or keep that hidden?
Have you stopped to really look at what you’ve done in JUST SIX MONTHS? I think it’s pretty amazing and I think the next six months will be just as amazing for you if you continue what you’re doing. I’ve enjoyed watching your efforts. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Amy- that makes me feel a bit better about the challenge. I just hate to see you spend so much on the websites. I really hope they pay for themselves quickly.
I would be interested in seeing some of these niche sites too.
Since I try and get into niches that don’t have too much competition, posting it up on here for hundreds of people to see will lead to more competition in my niches and wouldn’t be very good.
Congratulations Amy!
I have noticed for a long time that the monthly cash crate earnings have been dropping off quickly and was wondering when you were going to consider doing a bit of re-promoting but I guess you’re now focusing on the niche sites which is probably a much better goal in the long run.
I hadn’t thought of looking at just your earnings for the niche sites since you started, but am really amazed at what you have done with them so far! Just imagine how much that will sky-rocket once your many niche sites from November (and presumably the next 5 months) have time to get settled and earning organic search engine traffic!
Hi Amy
Don’t get disheartened - what you do now will take awhile to bear fruit but it will do in the end.
A little story for you.
My main website (some 8000 pages) got proxy hijacked back in June and worse still, Google deindexed the whole site which was PR5 at the time. Needless to say, my income dropped to next to nothing overnight - very scary I can tell you.
The moral of that was not to have all of your eggs in one basket (some 30 sites under one domain).
Since then, and very similar to you, I have been rebuilding my empire but spreading it out over numerous different domains. It is only in the last few weeks that things have started to pick up again financially although I am certainly not out of the woods yet.
These days, I am using wordpress for all of my sites and making the most of the web 2.0 sites for bookmarking (backlinks)and the likes of Propeller, Stumbleupon and Reddit. I have also started to put pages up on Squidoo with links back to my various sites. Too early to say how that will work out but it looks promising.
BTW - I came across you over at the NM forum and have been following your blog ever since. I don’t think you are there anymore though.
Although you may think that you are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere fast, it is like building a house - brick by brick and before you know it, you have reached the top.
Wow Alan! What an experience. I am so glad you are rebuilding. Thank you for sharing your story.
Yeah I understand why you don’t post your sites, I just got curious reading about your niche sites but not knowing what they were. You are doing great, you will have all your debt paid off one day and a passive income coming in, keep up the hard work.
Hey an increase no matter how big or small it is, it is still an increase. Congratulations! Every penny counts.
Hi Amy, I have a question. Are those websites on Cashcrate that have payout amount of around $10 (after subtracting shipping) worth purchasing? They all look shady, and I don’t feel comfortable giving out my address & c/c info to those websites. Do you earn any of your money from any of these websites?
Amy, I think from your post, you realize you are not just spinning your wheels. You are seeing real proof of payoff from working so hard.
I have always thought GPT sites would be a short-term means to a long term end for you. They gave you the seed money to work on things that would bring in the real long-term residual income.
I am so impressed Amy, really.
To go from being an at home mom, to a true WAHM in 6 months. . . To go from $0 income to nearly 2K a month. . . To see a steady increase in income every month (no hourly job does that!). . .
AND
You’ve had another baby . . .
AND
You’ve maintained this blog to inspire others . . .
AND
You have built a real internet business, with residual income, that will grow for years!
Wow lady, really, WOW!
Amy, I know how it gets. You get great results one month, and you just want to push yourself even harder to reach a new goal for the next month. You’re still making a passive income every month in excess of 2k generally. It wasn’t your best month, but it definitely wasn’t the worst either. Keep up the good work. As you know, all it takes is time with the internet. I suspect in the next 6 months, you’ll be making so much money that you won’t know what to do with all of it.
If you ever need any help with anything, be sure and let me know. Not sure what I can do, but I’ll try my hardest.
I am continually inspired by your blog and how you started with backbreaking debt and managed to stay committed and reach your financial goals. Very inspiring. I think it is always useful to look at the past and see how far you’ve come, because as a goal oriented person myself I look to the future and only see the small day-to-day progress, forgetting that a year ago I started with so little and now have so much.
I think you are wise not to share your actual niche sites with readers, you income is progressively increasing so you are doing something right! The only query I would have is is your profit increasing each month, if you are covering expenses and then making some profit then there is good potential for what you are doing. Also your debt has come down since you started so you are making progress. Goodluck with your current project and I’m another reader that is glad you didn’t sell your blog:)
Your blog has inspire me in many things. I learn a lot of thing from your website. thank you very much. I thought of following your steps, but still my endeavor seem not really working good. I also glad you do not sell your blog. It really good blog, and it will turn different if somebody else runs this blog. But, do you join any internet marketing thing, kind affiliate, but selling ebook of internet earning or income something like that? I saw a lot of that thing and I do not see if you join any. What do you thing of that kind of stuff? i want to know your opinion.
Hi. Any december earnings updates coming soon? Have you been able to pay off any more of the debt?
Aloha Amy,
I am another person who has found help in your blog. I am not in debt, but in serious need of income. I spend/waste most of my time just looking online for ways to make money. Currently I want to know where to start exactly, and it looks like it will be associated content. Even if the passive income isnt great, it can earn me enough to start other things.
I was wondering if you can give us a hint on what other Misc programs you use in marketing.
Thank You! and good luck
