Mechanical Turk
I just came across another interesting service by Amazon called Mechanical Turk. It is a place where you can outsource mundane tasks for really cheap (or do these tasks for other and get paid really cheap).
These are some things people are offering to pay for:
Reply to a certain forum post and get paid $0.05
Find an email address $0.05
Create future sports questions $0.07
Rewrite a sentence $0.04
Determine if a news article is good news or bad news $0.03
Although I would never participate by doing these tasks for others my self, It might be worth it to list a mundane task you do not want to do yourself.
I don’t have any tasks I can think of off hand, but looking around, people are thinking of all kinds of things to hire people to do for pennies.
Outsourcing this way may save you a lot of time in your online business.
It is amazing what Amazon comes up with isn’t it?
According to Amazon.com you can get:
- An On-Demand Workforce - “Mechanical Turk can connect you to a variety of skill sets and capabilities via a global workforce that can help you to complete your work whenever and wherever you need it.”
- Elastic Workforce - “Amazon Mechanical Turk allows you to get that work done easily when you need it, without the difficulty associated with dynamically scaling your in-house workforce.”
- Lower Cost Structure - No overhead from hiring employees.

I would love to know your thoughts.

Progress Overview

Wow- crazy. I was JUST talking with my husband about this tonight. I told him that there are people that are outsourcing blogging.
some of them only pay .01!
At first I thought this seemed a great idea. The sort of work that might appeal to my teenage son — such as writing sports trivia questions. But when I looked at the rates — 7 cents a question — so you’d have to write 100 questions an hour to earn $7.00 an hour? I don’t think so.
But it will be interesting to see where the website and concept is at 6 months from now.
You get what you pay for.
I’d rather use: my man in india.com or some other outsourcing site. (outsourcing one full time qualified person to india is between 4-10 per hour.) Check out brickwork?.com and ymii.com(your man in india)
