That Post I Did On Yuwie
The post I did on Yuwie was my first sponsored post ever and it will be my last. This person contacted me excited about Yuwie and said she would pay me $50 sign up for Yuwie under her and write a review about it on my blog so she can get more referrals under her. So she sent me $50 via PayPal and I complied. In fact, I wrote the review the same day and placed it here on my blog.
She emails me last night and says she is doing a charge back unless I do more programs for her free. She said she did not get enough referrals from the Yuwie post. So anyway, she did a charge back to her credit card and I feel as though my time and efforts (and yours because you read the post) were wasted.
Just feeling frustrated that people can pay for a service then simply do a charge back and leave the seller with nothing.
Just thought i’d vent my frustration here.
So if a person named Flora contacts you asking you to do a review for her, know she will probably do a chargeback shortly thereafter.

Progress Overview

Amy,
Sorry this happened to you
I signed up for Yuwie through your site and found it really uninteresting. It wwas Yuwie itself that failed her, not you.
Paypal sucks. For memberships, services, and digital goods, they will refund money, pretty much no questions asked. There is no investigation or attempt to decide whether the refund request is justified. They’ll just yank the money from you, the vendor, and assume you are to blame.
That is really shitty!!
I just reread your Yuwie post and I don’t understand why you were not honest with the reader. NO where in that post did you say at any time you were being paid. In fact most of what you said in there about how YOU found Yuwie and “lets see what WE can do” was all a lie.
Are you also saying the link you gave was that person’s link? Your credibility has gone WAY WAY down with me. Sorry to be negative but now I know that EVERYHTHING you say is probably a sales pitch.
Kira
Kira, I completley understand that. I had never done a sponsored post before and probably wont ever again. The review was an honest review. I was paid to sign up under her link and provide my own review. If I ever do another sponsored review in the future (unlikely) I will make sure to say it is sponsored.
Amy
Amy,
Don’t let people hack on you for doing a sponsored post. What is the gist of your blog? “Making money online to pay off your debt.” So long as your review was truly your opinion, of course.
I do sponsored posts (and yes I have it disclosed on the blog that I use for this) for PayPerPost and I see no reason to feel bad about it. I only pick the opportunities that I have an opinion on, it’s 100% my writing and my opinion. I just get introduced to the sponsor and they get to pick a keyword combo for the link.
Thanks for the heads up. Although, after your post she(or he) will certainly start using a different name.
Amy,
There’s all kinds of unscrupulous people online, unfortunately you had to run into one. I don’t see any problem with what you were trying to do… make money to help you out of debt.
Robert
hi, Amy. i also signed up at yuwie through your link. unlike the others though, i know that it is a sponsored link because i read your wso… =)
i deleted my account after i read your update but that was not the sole reason for my change of heart. when i signed up last night, i poked around and didn’t really like what i saw. your post just validated my gut feel.
i admire your self-control… i don’t think i’m capable of holding myself back…
i’m a regular reader and will continue to check back on what you have to share with us. i’m also a thinking individual, have my own free will to make my own choices - to be going off on you for something that i have total control of.
thanks for what you’re doing. any news on your new WSO? hubby will get it for me tonight when he gets home.
Yep, you can find the new wso here http://www.gptreviews.com/warriors/
Hi, Amy.
Checking through my refferal links on RSSGround.com I found your blog.
Very nice blog I should say and your progress in IM is impressive.
I see you cancelled your membership with us and I can’t find anything in correspondence why did so.
Can you enlighten me on that and may be I can help you with something.
Regards,
Max Galitsyn
Max, I LOVE your RSSGRound, but I had tried contacting you guys a few times and got email errors (email undeliverable). One day I noticed all the feeds were down for 2-3 hours and it freaked me out. I didn’t heard anything from you guys about it so I cancelled. I love your system, but I when the feeds are offline I cannot make any money from my ebay niche sites.
I may use you again in the future if there is a guaranteed uptime.
I see, Amy.
Yes, there was a few hours downtime recently due to a software update on our server. Even if it’s our dedicated server, they still have to do updates at the datacenter, unfortunately. Although, they guarantee 99.9% uptime and we hope it will be so.
That was probably the reason why your emails were undelivarable.
I apologize.
Let me tell you. We have a promotion currently (10k optin subscribers list for new signups) If you resume your account, I’ll give you that list and my personal email (not our tech support). I want to see your IM success grow

Thanks For the heads up. I’ve heard of Yuwie and considered joining them.
I’m sorry that the woman treated you the way she did.
If it was a sponsored post, it might be a good idea to say so in future posts, just to put readers at ease.
Don’t worry, I’m not upset and you haven’t lost this reason. Just an idea.
BTW if you have sucess with Yuwie, I would love to hear about it. I would be willing to sign up under you.
