July 2007 Online Earnings
In May I made $1,823.14 online, which was equivalent to a full time job making $10.52 an hour. In June I made $2,700.53, which was like having a full time job at $15.58 an hour. That is a pretty nice raise in my second month. I would like to do even better this month and plan to take on a few more new projects to build some residual income.

Progress Overview

WOW! You are doing great and are an inspiration to me. I am just beginning on the online earnings road, and have enjoyed reading your blog and your posts on the warrior forum.
Your new baby is just adorable. Congratulations to your entire family!
Paula
Amy,
so glad you are back! Hope you are enjoying your precious new baby. One question about cashcrate- Are you earning mostly from your referrals or are you doing a lot of the free/pay offers each day? Just curious as I started with cashcrate in June and made $32 from surveys. So far I’ve earned nothing from referrals.
Aw, but you DID get a donation from me when I got the Speed Reading Ebook.
Which has been helpful, though I need to commit myself to using the tips.
Been enjoying your blog. It’s inspirational.
Congratulations! Ryan is beautiful. Your earnings for June are extremely impressive! I believe my earnings are so low because I am having computer problems. It will require a complete harddrive wipe and reinstall of everything from scratch. The thought scares me, but if I’m having this much trouble now, it’s likely to get much worse very fast, and I don’t want to wait for a major crash. I plan to get that done by the end of the week so I can get back to work by the weekend. I’m one of your referrals, so to help us both more, I’ve got to fix this problem. I’d like to also request that we moms (and dads) stop referring to ourselves as SAHMs. We are WAHMs, work at home moms (and any dads out there, you’re WAHDs). When I had a “real job” it was a lot less work. I love working from home because I’m raising my son, and all the daycare and afterschool programs are taking me awhile to get out of him and reprogram in my values and expectations. Amy, you are an inspiration to this generation of parents. We need more examples of success that fit into working from home and raising our own children. You go girl! -Sherri
Hello there. I have been investigating starting an online business and have become a member of Wealthy Affiliate. I have been reluctant to jump into it for the last 2 months but your blog is inspirational! Last night I wrote 2 articles on a blog my wife set up for me 2 months ago! If you can do it in your third trimester and do so well then anyone can. My wife and I both tried the survey option, her 6 months ago and me 3 months ago. I lost a lot of time and now get tons on spam because I used my main email and she lost $60 to some scam company that delivered ZERO. I have sent her your URL and when she reads it she’s gonna explode! Once she decides on something there is NO way to stop her. Bless you for a site that so selflessly helps others like this-there is 10 times more info here than the site my wife paid $60 for! I will be linking your blog to any websites I put up in the future. God bless.
Amy-
Your earnings continue to impress me! I am studying your blog everyday so that I can make as much as you someday. Thanks you for all the tips and helpful articles. I know my blog and earnings will increse thanks to you!
Great job with your earnings.
I had a question for you about blog hosting, and its totally possible that you’ve already addressed this elsewhere.
Anyway, what hosting provider do you use? I’ve been looking at wordpress, blogger, and bluehost, but I’m thinking if one wants to be successful one should actually make the effort to register domains and so forth.
What are cheap avenues for this sort of effort? I’ve heard BlueHost is really good, but could you provide any others? Thanks so much!
I always register my domains at 1and1 and get my hosting through HostGator.
Hello from B.C. Canada. Just wanted to say that I am very happy to have come acrossed your blog. I really can’t remember how I found it but I am just amazed at how informative it is for people wanting to make some extra income on the net. Thankyou for the links, I am planning on signing up through you for CashCrate and possibly some other links you have that accept Canadian participants.
I would also like to congratulate you on your newest addition to your family and to say that I am very impressed with your goals and your success. I will be visiting your site quite often.
Best Regards, Eric
You never answered how you are making so much on cashcrate, I too am having the same problem!
I am getting the majority of my Get Paid To earnings from referrals. I only have so many hours in a day to work on the GPT sites and do my internet marketing. Having referrals helps me out quite a bit.
I’m curious - have you thought about taxes in relation to these earnings? I assume this is all taxable income?
Yes it is taxable, I am putting away money for taxes every time I get paid.
Amy,
Awesome newsletter on niche sites! I was curious about what everyone was talking about when it comes to niche sites, and now I know
I have been working on the GPT sites, and it seems like nearly all day to even make 30 bucks, but I can’t seem to be making as much as you seem to be making. Can you tell me your secret? Are you clicking trial offers that require a credit card because they offer a lot more?
Hello! I just found your blog through the CashCrate forums. My husband and I just started doing the TMMO and have been looking at ways to make some extra cash. Your blog has been wonderful, very informative! It’s great to have a place where I can see what websites are valid and worth it. I’ve signed up for both Fairy Tale Treasures and ReadersPaid today, so hopefully I’ll be making both of us some cash soon! Thanks again =)
Amy-
Congratulations! You’re an inspiration and a role model for all of us. Keep us posted!
Amy,
You hear a lot on the GPT sites now about being careful not to repeat a survey or offer on another site. Do you have any tips on how we can keep our noses clean? I have been concentrating on just 2 sites that work for me, but they seem to have similar offers.
Thanks!
I would suggest writing down your offers in a notebook. Don’t repeat the ones that have cleared for you.
Hi Amy,
Way to go on the niche sites!
If you have some done, may we take a peek at them?
Oh, I wanted to let you know that the Dot offers on fairy tale treasure are also on cash safari, and they pay $2.00 more on cash safari each.
Just thought I would pass the word on. If you want the link to cash safari, it’s on my blog.
Have a great weekend!
Wow!!
You’re doing great this month Amy…and with a newborn!!
You’re an inspiration.
Laura
Wow is right. Your earnings are amazing and when you toss in 4 young children and how recently you started, you are a online-hall-of-fame candidate.
I have an affiliate program and just bumped commission to 40%. I’d even be willing to send you free samples because people are really listening to you. This offer applies to other readers as well.
The affiliate program is at:

Hello Amy:
I too am impressed with your work and progress. I’m so ready to make money on the internet but seem to be at a loss for how to do so. I’ve joined CashCrate and others but it seems daunting since I have no other income at this time.
Story too long to tell but suffice it to say I have not worked since January 23, 2006 and sustained a substantial ankle break on September 5, 2006 with 2 surgeries, 6 1/2″ titanium rod and 8 pins. So, am attempting to get back into the work force but nothing is happening yet.
It has taken you some time to really get going. I hesitate to ask this question but are there any shortcuts that some of us can take from your experience in order to move things along a little more swiftly.
Rome wasn’t built in a day but I’d sure like to know if you’ve come across any profitable shortcuts that would make internet working a little easier and faster without compromising the overall work ethic.
Thanks.
Estelle
Estelle, I am afraid I don’t know of any surefire shortcuts. Getting referrals for Cashcrate and other programs really helps to move things along fairly quickly because you multiply your earnings.
Hi Amy,
I have been reading your blog for a bit (it’s how I discovered working from home) and I was wondering if you were considering taking on mentoring? I know you are very busy with your work and family. You’re making an amazing success and I’m sure there are those of us who have just about had it and are fustrated (or just plain old burnt out like me) with working hours upon hours only to make under $100 a month. I’d be more than interested if you offer anything like that in the future. Feel free to contact me via email: gmakesmoney(@)comcast.net. Keep up the great work!
~ Sela
Sela, I got my mentoring from
Please use my link if you sign up, I would truly appreciate it.
>Earn 1k A Day. It is a membership site that costs $30 per month, but as you can see I made much more money because of it.
Congrats on all your success! I’m sure you’ll hit your goal.
Fred
Hi Amy,
I just wanted to tell you that I noticed that you made a teeny mistake on your earnings. You put you made $157.24 from Associated Content and $.51 from Helium, but your total earnings from freelance writing only reflects $131.92
Jackie, You are correct. I forgot to update the total from the day before on that section. Thank you for pointing that out.
Amy, I know this is a bit late, but are you taking the Thirty Day Challenge 3.0 sponsored by Squidoo?
It starts Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 30 and is completely free.
The challenge is to earn $10 while learning about web 2.0 and all it’s new tools, how to maximize your efforts, implement quickly, do more effective niche market research faster and work completely online.
I know you’re very busy, but I thought you might be interested in something that will save you time, effort and money. -Sherri
Actually signed up for the 30 day challenge today and am in a team with some others from Earn1kADay.
Amy-
Very impressed with your success. I am too putting together a plan to make money from home. I am excited about August and what I can accompish. I wanted to ask you though, how many hours do you work a day? I am sure that you are busy with your children, but all together, how many hours do you spend on anything related to the computer? Thanks.
I would say it is a full time job, but I get a lot of interruptions as well.
Amy, I always check out your blog every morning and can’t believe how much money you are making! You are doing great! I just hope you can sustain it for 2 years. Two years isn’t that long…
Why isn’t your debt total on the right decreasing more? Do you update it when you actually receive the checks?
JULIE
I update my debt total after I have been paid money, it clears the bank, I make the payment and the payment gets applied.
Just so you know, you can greatly increase your Helium earnings by 1) Writing a ton of high ranking articles. and 2) Download the StumbleUpon firefox extention and add your article URL…. I did this, and within 2 hours my earnings jumped from a few cents to almost 10 bucks.
