ReadersPaid Review

Warning: Read This Post Before You Read This Review - “Why Wont ReadersPaid Pay Me?”
In my pursuit to make a full time income online, I decided to sign up and try out ReadersPaid.com and see what it is all about. I wanted to try it for a little while personally before determining if it is worth recommending to others.
I know that if I choose to promote and recommend a program on my blog, I am putting my reputation on the line. This is why I am taking my job of reviewing this program very seriously. Please read this entire review before deciding for yourself if it is something you are interested in or not.
Who Is ReadersPaid for? Who can Join?
ReadersPaid is for people who live in the United States, Canada and Australia.
You cannot sign up straight from their website, you have to be invited first. If you want an invitation you can do so through this link- ReadersPaid Invitation
What do you get paid to do?
Basically ReadersPaid will pay you to go to your ReadersPaid inbox and read the ads and do any incentive rewards. Some of them paying around $8 or more.
You have to keep your account active, this can be done by checking your Readers Paid inbox 3 times a week.
Failure to receive the ReadersPaid emails or to login to your ReadersPaid inbox for a period of over 30-days will set your account status to sleep. You then have a grace period of 15-days to re-activate your account before automatic cancellation takes effect.
It only takes a couple of minutes to check your inbox, so that should never be an issue.
How do you make money?
There are two types of rewards: Read rewards and Incentive rewards.
According to the ReadersPaid website, to earn money from Read rewards, all you need to do is check your inbox on the site once a day and read & click on all the new ads. This is supposed to take an average of 5 minutes a day.
They will post about 200 ads per month in your ReadersPaid inbox and they ads are only available for a short period of time. That is why it is important to check daily. After you do a read reward, it will credit to your earnings immediatley.
Incentive rewards are not as easy as the Read rewards, but they do pay more. They have 4 different types of Incentive rewards:
Email & ZipCode Campaigns that usually pay 20 to 45 cents each, just a simple email or zip code entry is required.
Free Info campaigns that usually pay between $1 and $8 Dollars each and require additional information such as: address, phone number, etc..
Free Trial campaigns that usually pay anywhere from $10 to $100 Dollars each and require a small Shipping & Handling fee
Cash Back campaigns where you earn cash back on all your online purchases. (I do not recommend buying anything you wouldn’t normally buy just to get cash back or else you will find yourself spending more than you are earning.)
How and When do you get paid?
The minimum payout is $25 and it is usually paid on the 20th day of every month via PayPal.
Residual Income/ Referral Program
ReadersPaid really emphasizes referrals and the importance of getting them in order to build a residual income. Like CashCrate, ReadersPaid also offers a $1 bonus incentive for every active referral from the USA.
According to the ReadersPaid website: “Most of our Members actually earn MORE than $100 in their first month and after only 6 months they are earning MONTHLY RESIDUALS of $3,000 to $6,000 a month … and so will YOU.”
I am quite a skeptic myself of big numbers like this and cannot guarantee you will make as much as they claim.
ReadersPaid.com claims that in order to get the earnings mentioned above you need to first be an active member yourself and recruit 10 people under you who will also be active members.
Then at that point your referrals also need to get 10 referrals under them.
(Sounds a lot like an MLM, except for the fact that it is no cost and you don’t have to sell anything.)
According to ReadersPaid: You will earn at least $360 a month for simply referring 10 ACTIVE MEMBERS and as soon as they each build their own power tream, you will earn over $6,000 a month for the rest of your life.
They have a little diagram on the site that shows how this is possible, I guess it would work if everyone truly followed through and each got their 10 active referrals underneath them.
Results of Researching Others Opinions
I did a check through google and some other search engines and forums to see what others thought of the ReadersPaid program.
I saw some people who have said they have been paid without any problems and saw some of them posting their paypal payments from the site. I could not find anyone complaining about them or claiming ReadersPaid to be a scam of any kind, which I take as a good sign.
Once I get my first payout I will post my paypal payment up here on my blog.
My Conclusion
My first impression of ReadersPaid is a very simple program and business model, but the website is not too user-friendly. I may be a bit biased though, I love the streamlined user-friendly site that CashCrate has created. (Click here to read my review on CashCrate)
However, this is not a bad 2nd choice for those who want something in addition to CashCrate. This is also good for those who like to recruit and get referrals because that is where the money is made in the ReadersPaid program.
I do not have an official thumbs up or thumbs down position on this program as of yet, it is still way to early for me to make that call.
I just wanted to post this information up here for you to decide for yourself if it is something you are interested in or not.
If you decide you want to try it out and see what happens, you can sign up with this ReadersPaid invitation link.
I do not recommend this program to be used instead of CashCrate, I still think that CashCrate is by far the best program I have come across.
This is just a 2nd option for people who want to do more in addition to their CashCrate earnings.

Progress Overview

Hi Amy, I signed up for Cashcrate, I have made a little bit of money, enough to get a check, but I haven’t really had the time to put into it that I should. I am interested in the readerspaid site. Have you recieved a payment from them yet? Have you lined up any referrals? Sorry for all the questions! One more, I posted about my small experience with cashcrate and put my referral number in, do you get many referrals from your posts for either of these sites??
I just joined near the end of last month so I have not been paid yet. I don’t have many active referrals on ReadersPaid yet. What is important is not only for me to get 10, but for me to help them get 10 as well. That’s how this program works.
What sites are you talking about? Thanks, Amy
I was just curious if your posts here, were helping you get the referrals you need for cashcrate and readerspaid.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions!
It doesn’t look like you use this site anymore.. Is there a reason? Did you realize it’s not a good site?
They never paid me a single penny.
Hi Amy: My name is Camille and I am a Canadian member of the ReadersPaid.com. I first joined in December of 2006 and the site was great! I got over 300 people through 5 levels of sign-ups and made over $50.00 the first month. I was thrilled. Things went fine for the first bit of 2007. I got paid every month and my downline grew to well over 400. Then BAM, no payment in April, May, or June. They owed me over 200.00. I kept questioning in the fancy drop-down on the site but got nowhere, no posting, no answers, nothing. Then in late June I received my April payment. I figured all was well and kept up the reading routine. Being from Canada, I could only really participate in reading as most clicks brought up “Sorry, not available in your area”. In August I got so frustrated that I began to search for other ways to contact readerspaid. Obviously the regular channels weren’t doing me any good. I ran the site’s name through Whosis and found the name of the supposed “Head Honcho” of adsynergy, Christian Holtz. AFter a bit more searching I found his AOL/AIM address and literally sat at my computer waiting for him to come on-line. Hehe my strategy worked and finally I was able to confront him. After a bit of hemming and hawwing, saying he was not really involved with ReadersPaid, they just used his paypal account for paying the members. So I pushed on, and got him to agree to research and respond as to why I was not getting paid. It took awhile, and a few more days “stalking” him on Aim ( I felt a bit like a frustrated hunter waiting for the moose to walk by, lol) I did hear from him through my Aim and again he asked for my patience as he was sorting out the mess that had been left by a couple of nefarious employees who took off with a bunch of money. Yeah right.
Well all of a sudden we started getting notice of major changes and loads of promises. I received another payment, supposedly for August which left May and June outstanding. I am supposed to receive those balances sometime before December 2007, but honestly, I’m not holding my breath. I also noticed that my downline suddenly sank to 130. Quite a drop from almost 400!! Apparently in an effort to improve the site all the deadheads were eliminated.
One of your commenters mentioned paying for a Platinum membership. I did that too and basically lost 45.00 as I have not seen any change in my earnings. When adsynergy became available, I was bumped up to a Select member, (I think it was an attempt to keep me quiet). That has made no difference either. And as far as adsynergy is concerned, it is useless for Canadians unless you have a website and are willing to post their ads.
All in all, I’m certainly not circulating much in the way of advertising for readerspaid, But I am going to give them until the end of December to reimburse me, after all, its five minutes of my day. I wish you well and give you lots of credit for speaking out on this issue. I admit I was a bit hesitant at first, but after reading your blog, think I’ll go ahead and start spreading the word through my blog too. Thanks for taking the hard road!
Camille
Thank you for the opportunity to post here.
After reading a few of the posts about the LoyaltePays sites and their “spin off” sites it sent cold chills down my spine. Much like Camille and Amy and the other folks my experience with this site has been bad, nothing but bad.
Before I mention anything else, the sites I’ve seen them involved in are LoyaltyPays/ Readers Paid/ Hurraz and I see now they are “expanding to something called “Smarter Sites” . So, beware of that one as well. I have a page with a link to expose sites like this for people who want to post what sites are not paying and are not on the “level” with its members. This is the link to my page. The “scam” page is under construction, so, if you would just email me with your information and I’ll post it as soon as I can. Also if you have a site maybe a good idea for you to do the same. As this type of business not only rips us off but makes it harder for the good sites that actually are upstanding and legal.

Now my story…lol
I joined the Readers Paid site just over a year ago thru their LoyaltyPays site. And without looking at my PayPal account I think I received two 2 twenty -five dollar payments from them. The minimum payout then was twenty-five dollars. Then around June the approvals from their site went nearly to nothing. But, I did understand that the whole PTC/PTR industry was going thru some tough times even the true and honest sites out there were having trouble approving offers. But actually most of that problem was caused by sites like the one we’re talking about here. And really Readers Paid started and still does try to lay the blame on its members. One thing I guess we all know now is that when you join one of these sites, always be sure the site lists the offers that are approved and the offers that your denied. Because with Readers Paid you really had no idea if the offer approved, as the advertisers sent the monies to Readers Paid, from there it was up to them to send the and allocate the correct amount to their members. Ask yourself this, what offers approved for you? See, we have no idea. Its like an old time shell game.
Soon after this Readers Paid increased their minimum pay out to sixty dollars. With offers aready approving slow this was a major disappointment for myself and many of the people who I had referred. Actually most if not all quit all together then. After I reached the min. of sixty dollars…lol (many hours of work I might ad) It took me over TWO months for them to post my payment into my PayPal account. And I think then it was after many many emails I sent to them, with no reply I might ad. Actually I did get one reply that the “whole industry “ had been having trouble….Then soon after, near October/September on their members page they said some people from as far back as May would be getting their payments soon. How that worked out I don’t know, I guess they owed me money but I was too wore out by then to worry about it.
Then soon after that the name was changed to Hurraz….lol What a joke. The first week or so they posted on the members page that due to “members contacting the advertisers to see why the offers had not approved they had to change the name from Readers Paid to Hurraz” Sounds like they were many, many other people who where wondering why they were getting ripped off.
Then, up comes Adsynergy….(I should have headed the old saying , fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me) I signed up, it was free, I/my husband had a web page and thought this would be a good idea to make some fair money with the ads they listed and we wouldn’t have to do so many offers our self’s (actuality my husband is disabled and does most of our work here from home on these sites when he is able to) Ok, the minimum payout was 100.00, which we got too very fast, actually 99.90. Made it there in just a few weeks in December, and I remember thinking this is GREAT….
Wrong, when the total approved reached 99.90 I was updating our page and needed to put a “newer” ad on and tried to sign on but couldn’t and still can’t . I tried at least 3 times resetting my password thinking it was a problem with that. I sent “support” letter after letter with only one reply. That reply said that there was no problem with my account and I should be able to sign on….lol And for me to remember that the “password” was “case sensitive” ha ha Give me a break…I had signed on that account so many times that I could have done it in the dark. Its only when I reached the (or neared) the minimum that they “locked” me out. Just like they did on the Readers Paid site. When it took forever to get the 60.00 dollars owed me. So, I waited about a week or so, and sent one more letter to support but it was the LoyaltyPays support and they sent a really “smart” letter back. Again saying that they had checked my account and they had problems signing on…well hell I guess not…ha ha They could tell me/us anything huh? And below is another few lines from them….actually they gave me an idea to write my referrals and tell them I’m sorry for wasting their time on this site. (only had one active referral, and they took his name off my list…ha ha) The rest are friends of mine. Here’s what they asked.\
“As for the payment from Ad-Synergy, you are just 10 cents under the minimum payout threshold
meaning that with any offer you will pass the $100 mark within January and you will receive your payment on February 20th.” they also wrote:
“I need to know from you if you have submitted the email below or a similar email
to any of our advertisers and / or other members
thank you
Christian Holtz”
Unreal huh? Ok, I’m done with them. Hope you are as well, I also hope we can get the message at to other people about what has happened to us. One other site you might want to look at and make a comment on is,
Following . You’ll get a real kick out of the article….and you can actually see who’s ripping us off….lol
