My Debt Free Goal Recap

I started this blog in May 2007, so a little over two years ago. I was pregnant at the time and very worried about our financial situation. The $72,900 of debt that was sitting on our shoulders was taking a huge toll on my physical and emotional health.

An idea came to my mind one night, to start a blog and document my progress in paying off my debt. I was determined to pay off my debt in any legal way possible. Thankfully I quickly found blogging and that has completely saved us financially.

The road I took was not an easy one, nor was it a short one. I went through a lot of mistakes and pitfalls along the way. I lost some money here and there too.

Knowing what I know now there are some things I would have done differently… but overall this has been a fantastic learning experience for me and those who have followed along with me on my blog here.

I wanted to thank all my readers for sticking with me, even when I thought there was no hope. I made it and am so happy to say that you can too. Don’t let anyone tell you it is impossible. You will be debt free if you put your mind to it.

Baby # 5 is on the Way!

We just found out not too long ago that we are now expecting baby # 5 to come into our family! No better way to celebrate being debt free than to grow my family.

I am due on Christmas Day 2009. I have been feeling quite sick, but I haven’t been letting that hold me back too much from working on my blogs and my membership site.

There is nothing greater than family and I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with my kids and still make a living at the same time.

The reason I set up The Niche Blogger in the first place was to give other parents the opportunity to also work and stay at home with their kids.

If you have always wanted to work from home, blogging is really the best way to do it. It gives you the most freedom and allows you to work with topics you love.

My New Niche Blogging Organizer Workbook is Published on Amazon!

Being a niche blogger I had a problem keeping all my different blogs organized. How much marketing I had done on each, what still needed to be done, etc…

So I set out to create the perfect organizer workbook for niche bloggers. It tracks 20 blogs and keeps your organized and on track. It is meant to be used in conjunction with your membership to The Niche Blogger.

Since the workbook is 370 pages it will keep track of everything for you. It is available on Amazon.com right here:

The Niche Blogger Blogging Organizer Workbook: Keep Track of and Organize Your Blogs

I have been using mine every day and could’t imagine being without it.

I Did It! I am Now DEBT FREE!

My goal was to be debt free by April 2009, but I beat my own goal! Today I just sent off my very last debt payment of $2,420.68 to the last credit card I will ever have. Good bye American Express!

I did not think i’d be THIS excited, but I feel like I just got let out of prison. No more will the chains of debt be wrapped around my ankles.

Getting out of debt has been my sole focus for the past 21 months. I am very excited to say that I did it! I am finally debt free!

I cannot even begin to describe how different I feel now. It is like a big boulder has been lifted off my shoulders.

It all started in May 2007 when I decided it was time to do something about my debt. I did not know much of anything about internet marketing.

I decided that if I put my goal “out there” to the world that somehow I would meet it. I started my blog here.

At first I was involved in Get Paid To programs, but switched over to blogging and niche websites for more passive income.

I literally worked my behind off working 12 – 18 hour days 6 or 7 days a week. I was determined that I would meet my goal even if it killed me.

My family and friends thought I was crazy. They told me to file for bankruptcy and that I needed to get a “real” job. It just made me work harder and longer.

Blogging is NOT the quickest way to paying off debt. I could have done more things for active income along the way that could have increased my cash flow considerably, but I had a bigger picture in mind…

I wanted to eventually be able to get to a point that I would have enough passive income that it would in effect be a “retirement” for me. So instead of making a few hundred here or there in active income I was fine building up my passive income by small increments because I knew it was long lasting.

So now I am debt free AND I have passive income to boot! Not to mention a great portfolio of virtual real estate if I ever needed to sell them.

So what is the point of all my ramblings?

1. Set a financial goal and focus on it with great intensity. Don’t give up even when things get hard.

2. Build up some passive income that will bring you in money day after day long after the work is completed.

3. You CAN become debt free!

I Have Paid off $60,000 in Debt Since May 2007 By Making Money Online!

I cannot believe it. In May 2007 I started off with $72,900 worth of debt and now I am down to $11,518.34! That is over $60k paid off! My goal was to pay it all off by April 2009 and to be honest with you I think I may reach my goal even sooner.

I honestly thought that my goal to pay off $72,900 worth of debt in 2 years soley by making money online was going to be IMPOSSIBLE. I mean, I knew nothing about internet marketing or earning cash online. I could never have imagined this future and the success i’d be able to create.

I truly feel led by my life’s mission to help others do the same, which is why I created The Niche Blogger. You will never know where your future will lead you, but you can put yourself on the path of prosperity by taking steps down the right road.

I am really excited for the day when I can finally yell out “I’M DEBT FREE!!!” Soon… very soon. Being this close is giving me a ton of momentum!

Yipeee, I could not think of a better Thanksgiving present. Instead of shopping on black friday I sent off a huge payment to my debt and I got to tell you, it feels so much better.
